hi steve,
interesting blog you got there - good to see the process. and i look forward to trying the path out one day. i'm not so sure about all the twee 'informing' going on. Norrie Bissel's 'poetry' sounds a little unnecessary as do the 'remindings' on the benches above. do people really need to be reminded of trains going past, and if so, does this very reminding not destroy the phenomenal essence of said sounds? sometimes, i think, (and this might sound a little out there to all you design folk), that you should just build the bloody path, and forget about all the wee add-ons and accessorizing!
oh, and if people think it's the berlin way, maybe it's no just a new map they need!

I really like these metal gates with their penants and story fish, very much in keeping with the coastal path. The logo and mileage also add value to the route and the sloping interpretation panels look attractive and easy to set up. Norrie

This all makes good sense. I regularly use the Kentallen section of path. I also overlook it from my house. I hope that any facilities will be placed sensitively, to avoid encouraging path users to congregate close to local premises.
