Design for the Environment
We have been producing interpretation panels for many years and have always tried to create panels that are interesting to read and exciting to look at. We have written, researched and designed over 30 panels to date. Our aim is to work with the visitor’s curiosity and sense of discovery to create a sense of wonder and curiousity about a place.
We produce our own mapwork, illustration and photography as required and as budgets allow. We also look to introduce work from the community where appropriate and have worked with community groups, artists groups and schools to include their work on the panels. We are particularly keen to blend artistic and poetic elements into the panels wherever possible to create a rich and memorable message.
There is some useful information about interpretation on the Scottish Natural Heritage website: http://www.snh.org.uk/wwo/Interpretation/default.html
